Daniel Boulud Shares His Oscar Night Menu Plus Tips For Home Cooks

The big winners at the 2013 Academy Awards have been revealedThe Oscars may be over, but we have some great food ideas for your next shindig from celebrity chef Daniel Boulud who hosted the official Academy Awards Oscar party in New York City. For those not able to make it to the awards in Los Angeles, Chef Daniel’s Upper East Side restaurant Daniel NYC, featured menu items inspired by the nominated films.

“No” (Chile) – Bay Scallop Ceviche with Avocado, Cilantro & Pickled Red Onion
“Life of Pi” (American movie about an Indian boy stranded in the ocean with a tiger) – Tiger Shrimp Samosa with Tandori and Hearts of Palm
“Kon-Tiki” (Norway but movie is about Polynesia) – Grilled Mahi Mahi with Pineapple and Papeete BBQ Sauce
“Amour” (Austrian movie in French) – Pomme d’Amour – Duck and Apple with Cranberry Gelée
“Royal Affair” (Denmark movie about young queen falling in love with her physician) – Smoked Sturgeon with Caraway Potato, Aquavit Gelée, Caviar Crème Fraiche
